How many sessions will I have to attend? It is recommended that each client attend six consecutive weeks of counseling to focus on the problem that brought them into counseling. This could change depending upon the severity of the problem. However, Dr. Cox believes that if clients embrace the tools and principles that are offered in the counseling process, and put the necessary work into practicing those principles, they will slowly begin to see changes in their lives and relationships.
