

ABOUT
Dr. Cox graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with an emphasis on Pastoral Care & Counseling from 1983-1986. He then served at Glendale Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida as a Minister of Education, Assistant Pastor, Office Manager and occasionally provided counseling to families in crisis from 1987-1989. During this time, the membership at this congregation was about 2500.
Dr. Cox worked as a Pupil Advocate in the Dade County Public School System from 1987-1989. He was then hired by the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons as a staff Chaplain in April 1993.
Dr. Cox continued his doctoral studies at Union Theological Seminary, PSCE in Richmond, Va. There he focused on Counseling and Character Formation in Young African-American males from 1995-1999, while working as a Prison Chaplain with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Dr. Cox has been a licensed and ordained Minister since 1984.
